So, I'm always starting new projects and I have several going on right now but out of all of those, I kinda want to talk about this one the most. So. I decided to make a dress (only one right now, depending on how this works out I could end up making more) So. Basically this dress is cotton, loose in the top but loosely built in the bottom. The sleeves of this dress aren't really sleeves at all. They are half sleeves, never joined under the arm, but gathered and stitched up on the shoulder, which makes it a sleeveless dress. (I know, it sounds confusing. I'll post photos when finished?) Anyways. So, I wanted to do some sort of 'modern' pattern to go with the dress, so I thought I should just make my own. So far what I've done is this-
So. These squares and filling lines are made in pencil right now, but I have immediate plans to buy some fabric markers. I tried this out on some scraps with straight fabric paint, and the paint was far too hard to control. So I'm figuring some 'fine tip' fabric pens could work for what I'm doing. In retrospect, this project will take a long time. However, I think its going to be pretty cool when I'm done. We'll see.
